Interested in Adopting from PAKS; consider the following:
Will you and your family be going through any expected life changes such as getting married, moving or having a child? Will work require anyone to be home for days or weeks at a time? Do you have children in several sports activities where animals are not permitted to attend? Consider your home, is it “pet friendly”? Just like a child, your pet will find the smallest hole to escape through. Do you have anything that your pet could climb or jump on that will enable it to get over your fence? Check for hazards such as chemicals, electrical cords and gas lines for barbecue. Make sure that things are put-away and out of reach of your pet. Do you have proper shelter such as cool places for your pet in the summer and warm places in the winter?

Is the whole family committed to care for and to own the pet? Owning a pet is a lengthy committment and the decision to get one should be made by the whole family and not one person or another.

If you think your family is ready then please read on.

All potential adopers will be required to complete an application prior to meeting any adoptable pet.  This is done to ensure that your home and lifestyle is the perfect match for the animal you are interested in adopting.  If your lifestyle and the pets needs are not a match your request to adopt the animal will not be granted.  This does not mean your application is rejected; instead one of PAKS memebers will help you find your perfect pet.  PAKS is dedicated to helping all pets find their new perfect pack (their new home).

Inquiries can be made by emailing pa_k9@yahoo.ca or through our website.

PAKS is a volunteer based group, please keep in mind that our members are employed with regular full time jobs; please allow 24 hours for someone to reply to your inquiry.  Thank you.
